Ola S1 Air deliveries to begin in July

Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to Twitter to announce that deliveries for Ola S1 Air will start rolling out from July onwards. Ola has been accepting bookings for the electric scooter ever since its debut. Buyers will now be able to test drive and purchase the S1 Air. The scooter was launched at an introductory price of Rs 79,999 in October 2022. Right now the Ola S1 Air range starts at Rs 84,999.

Ola S1 Air: Everything you need to know

Ola S1 Air retains the signature design of the S1 lineup. There are very minor cosmetic changes on the scooter. The grab handle on the seat has been replaced by a single-piece tubular unit. The S1 Air also features a flat floorboard instead of the curved one found on the S1 and S1 Pro. The storage space has also been reduced to 34 litres from 36 litres.

Back in February, Ola added two new variants to the S1 Air lineup. Initially made available with a 2.5kWh battery pack, Ola readjusted the lineup to 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh variants. Customers who booked the 2.5kWh model will be upgraded to the 3kWh battery pack. These variants offer a driving range of 85km, 125km, and 165km respectively.

When it comes to suspension, the S1 Air gets a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by standard drum brakes on both wheels. The S1 Air also weighs 99kg, which is considerably lighter than the 125kg S1 Pro.

The 7-inch touchscreen TFT display remained unchanged on the S1 Air. It also gets a reverse button, hill-hold functionality, multiple profiles, and proximity alerts. All these features are offered as a part of MoveOS 3.0.

Conclusion

Ola S1 Air is available in five colour options – Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver. The two new variants have been priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,09,999 respectively. Ola S1 Air rivals Simple One, Hero Vida V1, Ather 450X, and TVS iQube.
