Maruti Suzuki is set to launch its next-gen compact sedan, Dzire, next month. Ahead of the launch, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire was spotted without any camouflage. The new spy shots confirm the rumoured design changes that the Dzire will carry over its hatchback sibling in Swift. The next-gen version of the Swift hatchback was launched in May 2024.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Here’s what the spy shots reveal

As we had predicted earlier, the front fascia of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is remarkably different from the Switch. The LED headlamps on the sedan are rectangular and look sharper than the ones on its hatchback sibling. These headlamps are connected by a glass trim with a chrome strip running through it. The grille on the Dzire is wider as well. Additionally, the design of the fog lamp housings has been tweaked. The Y-shaped LED headlamps are connected by a chrome bar.

The faint glimpse of the interior does not reveal any features that distinguish the Maruti Suzuki Dzire from the Swift hatchback. The sedan is expected to share the interior layout and instrumentation with the Swift. This means that it will get a new 9-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climatic control, wireless charging, push start/stop, and more. Previous test modules of the sedan have confirmed the presence of an electric sunroof as well.

There will be no changes under the hood as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire will share its powertrain with the 2024 Swift hatchback. It will be powered by the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E engine which produces a maximum power output of 80hp and 112Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. It offers a mileage of 25.75kmpl on the Swift.
