2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: What to expect?
The addition of a sunroof to the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire will make it one of the better offerings in a segment that it already dominates. Its hatchback sibling, Swift, is also due for an update, but it remains to be seen whether it will get the sunroof as well. If the Japan and UK-spec models of the new Swift are anything to go by, it will not be made available with a sunroof in India.
The premium features on the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire won’t stop with the sunroof. The high-end variants of the sedan are expected to get a 9.0-inch floating touchscreen display for the infotainment system. This infotainment system will likely support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On top of that, the Dzire will also get a digital MID, infotainment and cruise control buttons on the steering, keyless entry, automatic climate control, and more convenience features.
While the Swift is equipped with a very helpful ADAS package in foreign markets, it will likely not make it to the India-spec Dzire and Swift. However, Maruti Suzuki may add a 360-degree camera to the equipment list of the Dzire. The interior layout and dashboard design of the sedan will borrow a lot of elements from the Baleno and Fronx.
Under the hood, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire will share its powertrain with the Swift hatchback. The 1.2-litre Z Series engine generates a maximum power output of 82hp and 108Nm of torque on the Japan-spec Swift. It is also linked to a mild hybrid system, although the chances of this configuration making it to India are very slim. The Z Series engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.

Conclusion
Since the test mules of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift have been completely draped in camouflage so far, it is very hard to tell new introductions to its exterior design. In profile, the sedan looks very similar to the new Swift. The only difference is the rear of the sedan, where it visibly distinguishes itself from the Swift hatchback. Prices for the current-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire start at Rs 6.57 lakh and go up to Rs 9.39 lakh. Expect the newer model to demand upwards of Rs 7 lakh. Upon launch, it will rival the likes of Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze.
