Mahindra XUV300 facelift to launch in February 2024

Mahindra has some interesting launches lined up for early 2024. In January, the automaker will launch an updated version of its debut EV, XUV400. Following that, the much-awaited facelifted model of the XUV300 will be released. The Mahindra XUV300 facelift has been spotted testing on multiple occasions this year.

Mahindra XUV300 facelift: What to expect?

The new Mahindra XUV300 facelift is expected to get significant changes across the board. The SUV is designed in the mould of Mahindra’s upcoming ‘Born Electric’ series of SUVs. The BE SUVs will be launched in 2025. Up front, the XUV300 facelift will get vertically aligned LED DRLs. The bumper and headlamps will also get significant design tweaks. The front fascia of the SUV will also sport a two-part grille and a larger central air intake unit.

The rear design of the SUV will also be modelled after the upcoming Born Electric series. The C-shaped tail lamps will feature a sleek look. A thin light strip will run across the tailgate, connecting the two tail lamps. The number plate has been shifted to the bumper from the tailgate. Along the sides, the Mahindra XUV300 facelift will receive a new design for its alloy wheels.

Inside, the Mahindra XUV300 facelift gets some interesting tweaks and changes. The SUV gets a 10.25–inch floating display for its infotainment system, which is larger than the outgoing model. The AC vents have also been repositioned to accommodate this larger display. The centre console will also receive a few design tweaks. One of the biggest features of the SUV will be a panoramic sunroof.

The Mahindra XUV300 facelift will retain the powertrain of the outgoing model. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mStallion direct-injection turbo-petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 131hp and 230Nm torque. Mahindra will introduce a new 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox for this engine. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol puts out 110hp. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates a power output of 117hp. These engines get the option of manual and AMT gearboxes.

Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, the Mahindra XUV300 facelift will be launched in February 2024. It is also expected to get an all-electric variant soon. Expect a small premium on the facelifted model. Upon launch, the 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift will rival the likes of Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue facelift, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
