Mahindra XUV 3XO and its predecessor, XUV300, have garnered over 4 lakh sales in India. The XUV300 was introduced in the Indian market back in February 2019. Its facelifted version, XUV 3XO, was launched in April 2024. The XUV 3XO grossed over 12,000 sales last month. It surpassed the 4 lakh cumulative sales milestone within this period.

FY2025 was the biggest year for Mahindra’s compact SUV, as it sold over 1 lakh units, achieving a Y-o-Y growth of 84.38%. It was during this period that Mahindra launched the rebranded facelifted model of the SUV. The XUV 3XO makes up for 39% of the combined sales. FY2026 is projected to be another successful fiscal year for the SUV as Mahindra seeks to garner another 1 lakh sales.
What makes the Mahindra XUV 3XO so successful in India is its extensive feature list. The SUV rocks a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and another 10.25-inch screen for the digital instrument cluster. There’s support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, a 7-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos support, wireless charging, and more.
The XUV 3XO is one of the safest compact SUVs in India, having scored 5 stars in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. It comes with 35 standard features, including 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and more. The top-spec variants also get a 360-degree camera, a Blind View Monitor and a Level 2 ADAS package. The ADAS suite comprises features like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Keep Assist.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO comes in three engine options – 1.2-litre 3-cylinder direct-injection turbo petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mStallion direct-injection turbo-petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 131hp and 230Nm torque. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol puts out 110hp. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates a power output of 117hp. These engines can be mated to manual and AMT gearboxes.

The XUV 3XO comes in 9 trim levels. Its prices start at Rs 7.28 lakh and go up to Rs 14.40 lakh. It rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue facelift, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Nissan Magnite in India.
