Lexus has updated its luxury coupe LC500h and priced it at Rs 2.39 crore in India. The new Lexus LC500h costs Rs 10 lakh more than the previous model. While the design and mechanics of the sports coupe remain unchanged, the LC500h gets upgraded features and very minor cosmetic changes.

Lexus LC500h: Everything you need to know

In terms of cosmetic upgrades, the new Lexus LC500h gets new alloy wheels with a black finish. The spindle grille up front gets a design tweak as well. The interior layout remains mostly unchanged, with the new touchscreen display shifted slightly closer to the driver’s side and sitting by itself instead of being integrated into the console.

The biggest upgrade on the Lexus LC500h is the new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment which replaces the 10.3-inch touchpad unit on the previous model. The new touchscreen unit looks similar to the one on Lexus RX and gets its new software interface as well. The touchscreen infotainment display is a welcome addition as the previous unit was controlled by a touchpad. Being closer to the driver’s side gives the driver easier access to the controls. The buttons on the console get a new alignment as well.

The Lexus LC500h remains mechanically unchanged as it continues to be powered by the 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine. This engine is paired with an electric motor hooked to a self-charging battery. The V6 petrol engine unit produces a maximum power output of 300hp and 348Nm of torque. The electric motor can churn out 180hp and 330Nm. Both motors can produce a combined power of 354hp. The 4-speed automatic transmission on the LC500h is combined with a CVT. The LC500h can go from 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds.
