The new Kia Sonet facelift has garnered over 1 lakh sales in India. The updated model of the compact SUV was launched in India in January 2024. Since then, the Sonet has seen a huge rise in popularity and amassed over 1 lakh sales. At the moment, the SUV averages over 10,000 sales per month. The automaker is now gearing up to launch the Syros SUV in India next year.

The petrol variants of Kia Sonet account for 76% of the sales. 34% of buyers preferred automatic and IMT variants. Lastly, the variants with the electric sunroof were the most popular among buyers, as they accounted for 79% of the sales.

The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 83hp and 115Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine on the Sonet churns out 120hp and 172Nm. It can be paired with an iMT or DCT gearbox. Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine generates a maximum power output of 116hp and 250Nm of torque. This diesel engine gets the option of a manual gearbox on top of an iMT or automatic gearbox.
