Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has discontinued 2 variants of its bestselling midsize SUV, Creta. With the SX Tech and SX(O) variants no longer on offer, the Hyundai Creta lineup is reduced to 7 trims – E, EX, EX(O), S(O), SX, SX Premium, and Creta King. The automaker has not given any official reason for the discontinuation of the 2 variants.

The now-discontinued SX Tech variant was introduced to make the ADAS package more affordable to Creta buyers. At the time of discontinuation, the mid-level trim was priced between Rs 15.69 lakh and Rs 17.22 lakh, depending on the powertrain. The SX(O) variant was the top-spec version of the Creta facelift when it was launched back in January 2024. It was pushed below the Creta King when the latter was launched in September last year. The Creta King is now the only variant of the SUV to offer an ADAS package.
In terms of features, the Hyundai Creta packs dual 10.25-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, a dedicated console for the dual-zone climate control system, an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, a dashcam, wireless charging, and more. The Level 2 ADAS package consists of 19 functions, including Forward Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Blind Spot Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, and more.
No changes have been made under the hood of the SUV. It continues to be offered in 1.5-litre diesel, petrol, and turbo-petrol engines. The diesel and petrol engines generate a maximum power output of 115hp. Meanwhile, the turbo petrol engine puts out 160hp and 253Nm.

Final Thoughts
It remains to be seen whether Hyundai will introduce new mid-level variants to bring down the prices of the ADAS package. In the meantime, you can check out the Summer Edition of the Creta. The midsize SUV rivals the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Skoda Kushaq.
