Hyundai Creta Electric: First visuals
Hyundai Creta Electric looks identical to its ICE sibling. There are a few EV-exclusive tweaks on the SUV – like the shut-off grille and charging port. Hyundai has added new pixelated graphics on the shut-off grille and lower front bumper, rear bumper, and LED tail lamps. The R17 alloy wheels have Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) and offer an enhanced aerodynamic performance. The unique Active Air Flaps (AAF) help manage the airflow to cool the vehicle and improve its aerodynamic performance.
Inside, the Hyundai Creta Electric gets dual 12.5-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Its steering wheel design is borrowed from the Hyundai Kona EV. The centre console of the electric SUV is also different from its ICE sibling. Other features include a 360-degree camera, Vehicle-to-load tech, i-Pedal tech, a Shift-by-wire system, a digital key, and more.
Hyundai Creta Electric is available in 2 battery pack options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The former offers a driving range of 390km while the latter can power the EV for 473km on a full charge. Using the DC charger, the electric SUV can be charged from 10-80% in just 58 minutes. An 11kW home charger can charge the SUV from 10-100% in 4 hours. While Hyundai has not revealed the engine specs for the SUV yet, it claims that the vehicle can go from 0-100kmph in 7.9 seconds.
