Hyundai Alcazar facelift follows the design language of the Creta facelift which was launched earlier this year. The front fascia of the SUV is highlighted by the H-shaped LED DRLs placed right above the grille. The two DRLs are connected by an LED bar. The LED lamp housings are positioned on either side of the grille. The grille receives horizontal slats. The air intake on the bumper is bordered by a silver panel.

In profile, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift remains largely unchanged compared to the outgoing version. The SUV now rests on 18-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the LED tail lamps mimic the H-shaped design of the LED DRLs. Like the DRLs, the tail lamps are connected by an LED light bar. The SUV stands on dimensions of 4560 X 1800 X 1710 mm (with roof rails) and has a 2760 mm wheelbase.

Inside, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift shares its dashboard design and layout with the Creta. The SUV gets a twin 10.25-inch display setup for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. However, the interior gets a new tan and blue dual-tone colour theme that separates it from the Creta. In terms of features, the 2024 Alcazar gets a voice-activated panoramic sunroof, a dual-zone climate control system, a Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera, a digital key with NFC, powered front seats, rain-sensing wipers, wireless charging, and more. The most impressive feature of the SUV is its Level 2 ADAS package.

The SUV is available in 6 and 7-seat configurations. The two captain seats in the front row receive a new pattern. The two seats in the middle row now come with larger headrests. These headrests have foldable sides to increase passenger comfort. The centre console in the middle of these two seats has been removed to allow access to the third row. The SUV feels more spacious as a result. The 7-seater variants of the SUV still rely on the seat tumble mechanism to access the third row.

The Hyundai Alcazar facelift retains the powertrain of the outgoing model. The SUV is offered in two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former produces a maximum power output of 160hp and 253Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine on the Alcazar puts out 113hp and 250Nm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “At Hyundai Motor India Limited, we are committed to enhancing customer experience through our diverse and versatile products. We remain dedicated to listening to the changing customer needs while continuously evolving to exceed their expectations. The bold new Hyundai ALCAZAR is a testament to this commitment. We are excited to launch the Intelligent, Versatile and Intense SUV that will further elevate grandness, comfort & convenience in the SUV segment. We are confident that the SUV will offer unique value propositions to our customers.”
