5th-gen Honda City offered with benefits up to Rs 71,300

The 5th-gen Honda City sedan is being offered with discounts worth up to Rs 71,300. These discounts come in the form of cash offers, free accessories, loyalty bonuses, exchange offers, and corporate benefits. Honda City was facelifted back in March. Prices for the sedan start at Rs 11.57 lakh.

Honda City: Discount breakdown

The 5th-gen Honda City gets a cash discount worth Rs 10,000 upfront. On top of that, buyers can get free accessories worth up to Rs 10,946. The automaker is also offering a loyalty bonus worth Rs 5,000 to existing Honda customers. The exchange bonus for Honda cars has been set at Rs 20,000. Non-Honda cars get an exchange bonus worth Rs 10,000. Lastly, Honda is also offering corporate discounts and special corporate discounts worth Rs 8,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.

The Honda City facelift was launched in March this year. It is available in four variants – SC, V, VX, and ZX. Prices for the City range start at Rs 11.57 lakh and go up to Rs 16.05 lakh. The sedan is available in six colour schemes – Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Obsidian Blue Pearl.

The 1.5-litre petrol engine powering the Honda City produces a maximum power output of 121hp and comes mated to a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the hybrid powertrain produces a peak power output of 126hp and is paired with an e-CVT gearbox. Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 17.8kmpl and 18.4kmpl on the petrol-manual and petrol-automatic variants of the City. The strong-hybrid variant is reported to offer a fuel efficiency of 27.13 kmpl.

Conclusion

These discounts are valid for the remainder of the month and their value may vary among different dealerships. In India, Honda City rivals the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
