Former MP MLA, Sunil Jain, allegedly rammed his BMW into 4 vehicles on the Geeta Colony Flyover in Delhi on late Saturday night. According to reports, 3 people were injured following the incident and were taken to a nearby hospital where they were administered first-aid. A case has been registered by the police but no arrests have been made yet.
The North District DCP, Sagar Singh Kalsi, revealed that the police received a call at 10:45 pm on Saturday night, informing them of the incident at Geeta Colony Flyover. Upon reaching the scene, the police found four vehicles in damaged condition, including the BMW and one scooty.
Upon further inquiry, it was revealed that the BMW was driven by Sunil Jain, former MP (Independent) MLA. The BMW first hit a Wagon R which in turn crashed into a scooty. The BMW then crashed into a Kia Seltos which further hit another car. There was traffic congestion on the flyover following the incident.

Among the injured were the driver of the Wagon R and the woman riding the scooty. There were 2 people riding the scooty, along with a baby. The baby remained unharmed. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where they were discharged after being administered first aid. Police also revealed that accompanying Sunil Jain were his daughter, who stays in Vivek Vihar, and his driver who was sitting at the back as he did not know the route.
Although no complaint was reported to the police, legal proceedings regarding the case have already started. No arrests have been made yet. A case has been registered at the Kotwali Police Station under Section 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (causing hurt by an act which endangers human life) of the IPC. Sunil Jain had fled from the scene before the police arrived. The front bumper of the BMW received heavy damage. Although locals alleged that Jain was under the influence of alcohol, no alcohol was found in the BMW.
