Citroen C3 Shine variant launched in India, priced at Rs 7.60 lakh

Citroen has added a new top-spec ‘Shine’ variant to the Citroen C3 lineup. Prices for the new Shine variant start at Rs 7.60 lakh. The highest trim fetches Rs 7.87 lakh. The new Shine trim comes with exclusive high-end features and is available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine.

Citroen C3 Shine variant: Here’s what you get for your buck

The new Shine variant of Citroen C3 gets a bouquet of exclusive features. These include electrically adjustable OVRMs, a rear parking camera, and a day/night rear-view mirror. The hatchback also sports 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, front fog lamps, rear skid plates, rear wiper & washer, and rear defogger. On top of that, the Shine variant will also come equipped with the ‘My Citroen Connect’ app which offers 35 connectivity features.

Under the hood, the Citroen C3 is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 82hp and 115Nm of torque. Transmission options are limited to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Citroen C3 may launch the Shine variant with the turbo petrol engine unit in future. The entire Citroen C3 lineup is now compliant with BS6 Phase II norms.

Conclusion

Citroen C3 is locally manufactured in India along with its electric variant. The automaker also exports the hatchback to overseas markets from India. The first batch of C3 was exported from the Kamarajar Port in Tamil Nadu last month. In India, Citroen C3 rivals Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
