Citroen C3 Aircross: Automatic and electric powertrain expected in the future

The Indonesia-spec Citroen C3 Aircross retains the engine from its Indian counterpart. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 205Nm of torque on the Indonesian variant. The Indian C3 Aircross produces 190Nm of torque and is available in a manual variant. The manual C3 Aircross offers a fuel efficiency of 18.5kmpl. The automatic variant has a mileage of 17.5kmpl.

The midsize SUV lacks paddle shifters and comes with a traditional gear lever in its automatic transmission avatar. It does not get a manual variant in Indonesia. In India, the eC3 and C5 Aircross get toggle drive selectors instead of the conventional gear lever.

Citroen C3 Aircross is underpinned by the same CMP modular platform as the C3 hatchback. It stands at dimensions of 4,323mm x 1,796mm x 1,669mm with a wheelbase of 2,671mm. The SUV will come in five and seven-seat configurations. The 5-seater C3 Aircross offers a boot space capacity of 511 litres.

Talking about the features, the Citroen C3 Aircross gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, roof-mounted AC vents, keyless entry, and more. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, Hill hold assist, and more.
