BMW X3 M40i launched in India at Rs 86.50 lakh

BMW X3 M40i has been launched in India at Rs 86.50 lakh. The SUV will be imported to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Booking for the new BMW X3 has already started at a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. The automaker also announced that it will be available in limited units.

BMW X3 M40i: What’s on offer?

As the name suggests, the BMW X3 M40i is engineered by M and will receive the M sports package. This includes M elements in the kidney grille, headlights, tailpipes, and wing mirrors. The SUV will also get dual-tone 20-inch alloy wheels. The brake callipers have been painted red. The X3 M40i is available in two colour options – Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire.

Inside, the BMW X3 M40i gets all-black interiors and M badging on the steering. The M branding can be found across the interior, including the stitching on the steering, seatbelts, and centre console. Running the BMW iDrive 7 OS is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster also makes its way inside the SUV. The sound system is sourced from Harmon Kardon. Other features include ambient lighting, a heads-up display, climate control, wireless charging, and an electric sunroof.

Under the hood, the BMW X3 M40i is powered by a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 360hp and 500Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. On the M340i sedan, this engine unit churns out 374hp of power. The BMW X3 M40i can go from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds and can attain a top speed of 250kmph.
