BMW 5 Series updated with 19-inch alloys as standard

No other changes have been made to the luxury sedan.

The BMW 5 Series sedan has been updated in India. It now offers 19-inch alloy wheels as a standard feature. Previously, buyers had the option to choose between 18-inch and 19-inch alloys. The luxury sedan was launched in India in July 2024. The BMW 5 Series is available in a single LWB (Long Wheelbase) variant in India. Apart from the updated alloys, no changes have been made to the luxury sedan.

BMW 5 Series: What’s on offer?

The 2025 BWM 5 Series remains cosmetically and dimensionally unchanged. It measures 5,175mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,520mm tall. The LWD variant has a 3,105mm wheelbase, which is 110mm longer than the regular model. The sedan is defined by its sharp look and edgy design. It gets the iconic BMW kidney grille up front. The bumper hosts big air intakes. The wraparound LED headlamps are integrated with LED DRLs. At the back, the sedan features LED wraparound tail lamps. 

BMW 5 Series: What’s on offer?

Inside, the BMW 5 Series is decked with a large curved display unit comprising a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system is equipped with the latest iDrive 8.5 OS. The sedan also rocks an 18-speaker, 655W B&W sound system, two rear entertainment screens, wireless charging, an ADAS package, and more.

BMW 5 Series LWB: What’s on offer?

In India, the BMW 5 Series is only available with one mild-hybrid petrol engine option. The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 258hp and 400Nm of torque. This engine is linked to a 48V mild-hybrid system that produces an additional 11hp and 25Nm.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the BMW 5 Series start at Rs 74.40 lakh. It is one of the most popular premium sedans in the sub-Rs 1 crore price bracket in India. It rivals the Mercedes E Class, Audi A6, Volvo S90, and Lexus ES 300h.
