Audi RS 5 Sportback car powered by 450hp, 2.9-liter engine launched in India

The German automobile manufacturer Audi today unveiled its Audi RS 5 Sportback car in India. The all-new sedan is powered by a 2.9L V6 TFSI engine that is capable of producing 450 hp of power and 600 Nm of torque. It features Matrix LED Headlights with Dynamic turn indicators, Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch, Quattro with self-locking centre differential.

Audi RS 5 Sportback price and availability details

Audi today announced the launch of the redesigned Audi RS 5 Sportback car in India today. The company has introduced it with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 1.04 crore in the country. This four-wheeler has been brought to India via the CBU route. It will be available in Nardo Gray, Turbo Blue, Tango Red, Mythos Black, Glacier White, Navarra Blue, Sonoma Green, Daytona Grey colour options. The four-wheeler is now available for bookings.

Audi RS 5 Sportback sports features a sleek four-door roofline. It comes with a new single-frame that encases the glossy black RS honeycomb grille which is specific for the RS models. Moreover, three are Matrix LED headlamps with dynamic turn indicators along with a headlight washer system that keeps them clean no matter what the road throws at them. The Panoramic Glass Sunroof, flared wheel arches, RS bumpers, coupled with the body-coloured exterior mirror housings and the frameless doors give it a more aesthetic as well as sporty look on the outside. It sports the black and rock gray Alcantara/leather interiors further enhanced with decorative aluminium inlays.

The driver has the choice to access the 3-spoke multifunction plus leather steering wheel with shift paddles. The front sports seats with a Comfort centre armrest between them, have pneumatically adjustable lumbar support with massage function and the driver’s seat has a memory for the adjustment settings. While the 3-zone air-conditioning keeps the heat at bay. 

Infotainment has also been taken care of, Audi RS 5 Sportback car has a  virtual cockpit Plus which informs the driver about everything from the torque output of the engine to the G-Forces acting on the car. On the other hand, the MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch features acoustic feedback. The interface has been kept simple with system displays offering information like navigation maps and directions, engine and transmission temperatures, and more. The driver and passengers are ensconced in the Audi RS 5 Sportback and the 180 W Audi sound system provides entertainment through its 10 speakers and Bluetooth interface.

Adding more to this Audi’s car features an auto-dimming interior frameless rear-view mirror. The exterior mirrors are power-adjustable and feature memory, heating, power-folding and auto-dimming on both sides, For safety Audi has provided  6 airbags that include side airbags in front along with the curtain airbag system.
