The 2nd-gen Kia Seltos has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh. The SUV is available in 8 variants – HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK (O), HTX, HTX (A), GTX, and GTX (A). The last 2 variants belong to the GT Line range. The booking window for the SUV has been open since December 11, 2025. Buyers can reserve their model for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

The new Kia Seltos stands at dimensions of 4,460mm x 1,830mm x 1,635mm. This makes it 95mm longer, 30mm wider, and 10mm shorter than the previous-gen model. Underpinned by Kia’s new K3 platform, the 2nd-gen Seltos has an 80mm larger wheelbase than its outgoing version.

Kia has brought the design of the new Seltos up to speed with the premium SUVs in its catalogue. Its front fascia flaunts the ‘Digital Tiger Face’ comprising a black high-gloss grille with gunmetal accents, ‘Ice Cube’ LED headlamps, and ‘Star Map’ LED DRLs. The headlamps have a welcome function while the DRLs are integrated with turn signals. The tail lamps also follow the ‘Star Map’ design.

Along the sides, the 2026 Kia Seltos rests on 18-inch alloy wheels. Its body features prominent character lines. The wheel arches are beefed up with thick cladding. The door handles sit flush on the body and pop out automatically whenever necessary. The number plate now lies on the rear bumper, giving the tailgate a cleaner look. Kia has added 2 new exterior paint shades for the next-gen Seltos – Morning Haze and Magma Red.

The interior of the new Seltos has a ‘Smoky Black & White’ dual-tone colour theme with white accents and leatherette seating. The dashboard rocks a ‘Trinity Panoramic Display’ comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an equally large digital instrument cluster, and a 5-inch display for HVAC controls. This is the same setup as the one on the Kia Syros. The new 3-spoke leatherette-wrapped steering wheel is integrated with dedicated buttons for drive and traction modes.

Kia’s next-gen midsize SUV is decked with premium features. Some of these include a 10-way powered driver’s seat with lumbar adjust and relaxation functions, ventilated front seats with a ‘welcome retract’ function for easy entry and exit, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, and wireless charging.

Safety features on the new Seltos include 6 airbags, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Rollover Sensor, Rear Occupant Alert, Blind View Monitor, 360°Surround Camera, and Side Parking Sensors. The Level 2 ADAS package consists of 21 autonomous safety features, including Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and more.

The 3 engine options from the last generation model have been carried forward to the new Seltos. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 144Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine puts out 160hp and 253Nm. It can be paired with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 116hp and 250Nm torque. This engine can be linked to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
