2023 Lexus RX: Everything you need to know

In terms of design, the new Lexus RX draws a lot of cues from the new RZ EV. The ‘spindle body’ and Alluring X Verve design can be found on the new luxury SUV. Lexus RX stands at dimensions of 4,890mm x 1,920mm x 1,650mm. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The 2023 Lexus is wider and has a larger wheelbase than its predecessor. The two variants share the same overall design but the RX 500h F-Sport+ variant gets piano black accents instead of chrome inserts.

Inside, the Lexus RX gets a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The interiors get Lexus’ Tazuna design, which seeks to establish a better connection between the car and the driver. The SUV also gets wireless charging and a head-up display. Lexus RX is available in three interior colour options – Black, Dark Sepia, and Solis White.

The 2023 Lexus RX comes in two powertrain options. The RX 350h Luxury variant is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine. In conjunction with the electric motor, this unit produces a maximum power output of 250hp and 242Nm of torque. This engine combination is paired with a CVT.

The RX500h F-Sport is powered by a 2.4-litre turbo petrol engine which, paired with an electric motor, produces a maximum power output of 371hp and 460Nm of torque. This variant gets a 6-speed automatic transmission. The RX500h can go from 0-100 kmph in 6.2 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 210kmph.

Conclusion

At Rs 95.80 lakh, the Lexus RX is pretty aggressively priced with its competitors – unlike the previous Lexus models. The luxury SUV rivals the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Range Rover Velar, Jaguar F-Pace, and Audi Q7.
