2023 Kia Seltos: Updated engine and available powertrains

There are no cosmetic changes on the new Kia Seltos. The major change is the newly tuned engines that are now RDE and E20 compliant. The 2023 Kia Seltos is available in two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former produces a maximum power output of 115hp and 144Nm peak torque while the latter churns out 116hp and 250Nm.

The 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine has been discontinued and will be replaced by the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine which was recently added to the Carens. This new engine unit produces a maximum power output of 158hp, which is 20hp more than the unit it replaces. Kia Seltos will now be offered with a 6-speed iMT gearbox as standard across all variants.

The new Kia Seltos will also receive idle stop/start as standard across all variants. This will help improve the mileage of the car. Kia has also hiked the prices for the Seltos by Rs 20,000 on the entry-level variant and Rs 25,000 on all other petrol variants. Prices for all diesel variants have been hiked by Rs 50,000.
