2022 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Nissan X-Trail score 5-stars at Euro NCAP tests

The new Range Rover 2022, Range Rover Sport, and Nissan X-Trail have been awarded a 5-rating at the Euro NCAP crash tests. In the latest round of testing at Euro NCAP, 15 cars scored 5 stars while one did not manage to score the highest rating. Honda Civic, Tesla Model S, and Isuzu D-Max were among the other cars tested.

2022 Range Rover

The 2022 Range Rover scored 84% in the adult occupants test scoring 32.1 points out of a total of 38. In the child occupant test, the 2022 Range Rover scored 43 points out of a total of 49, amounting to 87%. In the safety systems test, the Range Rover was awarded 13.2 out of 16 points, scoring 82%. Lastly, in the vulnerable road users tests, the 2022 Range Rover scored 72%, getting 39.1 points out of 54.

Range Rover Sport

In the adult occupants test the Range Rover Sport scored 85%, getting 32.4 points out of a total of 38. In the child occupants test, the vehicle attained 42 out of 49, scoring 85%. In the safety systems test, the Range Rover Sport scored 82%, attaining 13.2 points out of 16. Lastly, in the vulnerable road users tests, the vehicle scored a meagre 69%, getting 37.5 points out of 54.

Nissan X-Trail

The Nissan X-Trail scored an impressive 91% in the adult occupants test, scoring 34.7 out of 38 points. It was awarded 44.3 points out of a total of 49 in the child occupants test, scoring a total of 90%. In the safety systems test, the car scored 95%, attaining 15.2 points out of a total of 16. Lastly, in the vulnerable road users tests, the vehicle attained 38.2 points out of 54, scoring 70%.

Conclusion

The latest round of testing also saw Tesla Model S, Honda Civic, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Nio ET7 EV, Smart #1 EV, WEY Coffee 02, Nissan Ariya, Renault Austral, Toyota Corolla Cross, Toyota bZ4X, Subaru Solterra and Isuzu D-Max Crew Cab receive a 5-star rating. Only the DS9 was limited to a 4-star rating.
