The fifth-generation 2022 Range Rover made a world premiere in the UK ahead of its final launch in 2022. The Jaguar Land Rover has been working hard for over a decade to make its luxury SUV among the best in class. And the car is one of the most selling SUVs by the company. With its 5th gen avatar, the SUV got some modern changes in both exterior and interior front. Here are details of the new Range Rover 2022.

Exterior and dimensions
The stance and silhouette look similar to the 4th Gen Range Rover. The real change that we can spot is from a redesign of LED lights, a new grille, redesigned front bumper that holds the bar inserts hiding the sensors and camera neatly. It also sports redesigned grille and floating roof paint scheme. At the rear, you get remapped bumpers and black vertical turn indicators which can be only seen when working.Â
You will get a 21-23 inch tyre depending on the variant you choose. Land Rover also fitted flush-fitting door handles that only pop-ups when needed. The company offers two variants for the same car standard-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB). As the name suggests the LWB is 75mm longer and has 200 mm extra length than the standard wheelbase variant. In contrast, the standard variant and long-wheelbase both have a rated ground clearance of 295 mm.
Interior and features
The 2022 Range Rover is equipped with a new dashboard and infotainment system. You can spot a 3.1-inch curved, floating touchscreen with built-in Alexa to control electronics and a panoramic sunroof. Consumers also get a 13.7-inch full-digital instruments display, with a head-up display available as an option. Entertainment is covered for rear passengers as well, with 11.4-inch entertainment touch screens. Seeing the demand of the market for the first time Land Rover has availed its luxury SUV in the seven-seater configuration.

Also part of entertainment equipment the company paired the SUV with a 1,600-watt Meridian Signature sound system with additional 20-watt speakers in the four main headrests to provide active noise cancellation. Other features include power-assisted doors, remote park assist, air purifier, 24-way adjustable rear seats with massage function and an 8.0-inch touch panel for rear seats.
Engine options
The car will be paired with two engine options, the first 3.0-litre, six-cylinder Ingenium petrol with a 143 hp electric motor that will draw power from a 38.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. Together the engine and the electric motor produce 450 hp. The other engine is sourced by BMW which is a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8Â producing up to 530 hp making the range rover do 0-100 kph in just 4.6 seconds. Both the engines will be paired with eight-speed ZF automatic transmission as standard. The company also promised a fully electric variant by 2024.
For safety, the company introduced Integrated Chassis Control that includes features like a 48-volt electronic anti-roll system, an active locking rear differential, a five-link rear axle, twin-valve Bilstein dampers, and air suspension. The 2022 Range rover is paired with Terrain Response 2.0 by which the consumers can choose from up to 6 driving modes according to their convenience.
Pricing and availability
The SUV in India will be available in the year 2022 but Land Rover has already started to take orders for the same. The 2022 Range Rover will come offshore in a CBU( Completely Built Unit) and will range between Rs 2.10 crore – Rs 4.38 crore ex-showroom, India.
