2022 Maruti XL6 Teased Ahead Of April Launch: Bookings Open

Maruti Suzuki India has teased the all-new 2022 Maruti XL6 facelift from its Nexa Twitter handle recently for the first time. The upcoming XL6 facelift launch date in India is expected to be around April 21, just a few days after the launch of its seven-seater sibling Ertiga. Bookings for the 2022 Maruti XL6 have been opened at Rs 11,000.

Upgrades in the 2022 Maruti XL6 are expected to be more significant than that of the new 2022 Ertiga facelift. On its exterior, the changes anticipated include a redesigned front grille, front and rear bumpers as well as larger alloy wheels. Speaking of the Maruti XL6 interiors, the facelift version will come with an updated dashboard and upholstery with wooden finishings, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and/or Suzuki Connect car tech support. 

On the safety front, the upcoming XL6 facelift may be equipped with up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, an engine mobiliser, an electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist and a high-speed alert system.

Speaking of the upgrades in its powertrain options, the 2022 Maruti XL6 is expected to come with a new 1.5L K15C dual-jet petrol motor. Its existing models are powered by a 1.5L K15B petrol motor. The transmission options offered will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter. The new engine is expected to provide better fuel efficiency and generate an output of about 115ps. The new model is also expected to offer an improved mileage. 

The 2022 Maruti XL6 price in India is estimated to start from around Rs 10 lakhs. It will be primarily competing with the all-new 2022 Kia Carens and the 2022 Hyundai Venue, along with others in its segment.
