2022 Maruti Brezza Launched In India: With Major Upgrades

The much-awaited 2022 Maruti Brezza has been finally launched in the Indian markets by the Maruti Suzuki brand. The all-new 2022 Brezza comes at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The crossover SUV is available in four variants, with new features and an updated powertrain. About 45,000 pre-bookings have already been reported for the new car. 

The 2022 Maruti Brezza comes leaving behind its ‘Vitara’ label from its moniker. The new model receives a major uplift in its design language. It now features a new front grille, twin LED headlights with dual L-shaped LED DRLs, restyled bumpers, slim wrap-around taillamps, along with new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Overall, the silhouette of the new Brezza appears to be more bold and sturdy.

Speaking of the 2022 Brezza interiors, the cabin also comes with a major overhaul. It features a dual-tone brownish-black dashboard with aluminium accents in contrast, that gives it a premium look. It features a free-standing 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Arkamys-tuned sound system, wireless charging, HUD, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, ambient lighting as well as voice-command operation. In terms of safety features, the new car comes equipped with up to 6 airbags, ESC, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera and an ISOFIX mount. 

Coming to its mechanical specs, the 2022 Maruti Brezza powertrain options include the automaker’s new-gen 1.5L four-cylinder mild-hybrid K-Series petrol engine that made its debut in the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The engine delivers about 103bhp power and 137Nm of torque. This is paired with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. Its 4-speed torque converter unit has been replaced with the 6-speed unit that comes with paddle shifters. The fuel efficiency of the vehicle is reported to be around 20.15kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki offers the new 2022 Brezza in nine colour options, including three dual-tone shades. These include Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Magma Grey, Sizzling Red, Exuberant Blue, Brave Khaki, Sizzling Red with Black roof, Splendid Silver with Black roof, and Brave Khaki with White roof. The SUV is available in four trims, namely LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. 

The 2022 Maruti Brezza price in India starts at Rs 7.99 lakhs and goes up to Rs 13.96 lakhs. It will be seen giving tough competition to Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, and more in its segment.
