BYD Sealion 7: Here’s what the Dynamic variant has to offer
Let’s take a look at BYD Sealion 7’s price list before talking about its new entry-level variant.
| Variant | Price |
| Dynamic | Rs 41.90 |
| Premium | Rs 49.90 |
| Performance | Rs 55.90 |
The Dynamic variant of the Sealion 7 looks identical to the other two trims. The only notable difference is along the sides, as the entry-level model gets smaller 19-inch alloy wheels. It retains its crossover body style, smooth flowing lines, aerodynamic profile, and sleek lighting elements.
Inside, the entry-level model retains the 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system and the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It also gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, powered front seats, seat ventilation, wireless charging, 11 airbags, and Level 2. When it comes to omissions, it misses out on lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat, an air purifier, gesture controls for the tailgate, a heads-up display, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Instead of a 12-speaker system, it gets a 12-speaker unit.Â
The Dynamic variant of the Sealion 7 is equipped with a 71.8kWh battery pack. It offers a driving range of 520km (NEDC). The rear-mounted electric motor generates a maximum power output of 231hp. The electric SUV can go from 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds. Meanwhile, the Premium and Performance trims continue to be offered with an 82.56 kWh battery pack. The rear-mounted electric motor powering the Premium variant puts out 313hp. This model can go up to 567km (NEDC) on a full charge. The top-spec Performance variant has a 542km (NEDC) driving range and generates 530hp with its dual-motor (AWD) system.
Mr Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, said, “The strategic expansion is a direct response to the tremendous success and overwhelming customer interest in the existing BYD SEALION 7 variants. With the introduction of the new SEALION 7 Dynamic, we are expanding the portfolio to cater to a more diverse customer base while offering increased options to potential buyers. As a new expression of SEALION 7, the Dynamic variant will further strengthen its position in India’s premium EV segment by bringing BYD’s advanced technologies, safety standards and sustainable mobility solutions within the reach of more customers.”
