Bookings for BMW 2 Series M Performance now open

The new BMW 2 Series M Performance is set to launch on September 7. As we get closer to the launch date, the automaker is now accepting bookings for the coupe at a token amount of Rs 1.50 lakh. Bookings for the new BMW 2 Series M Performance will open on August 24, 2023 from 12:30 pm onwards.

BMW 2 Series M Performance: Bookings open

The new BMW 2 Series M Performance comes in an exclusive Black Sapphire paint shade only. It receives an M Performance front grille, M Performance Alcantara gear selector, along with other ‘M’ branded parts. The front grille, wing mirrors, and bumper receive contrasting silver highlights to go with the Black Sapphire paint shade.

Talking about the interior, the BMW 2 Series M Performance gets a dual-tone theme of black and beige shades. It is expected to retain the 10.25-inch dual-screen touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. The 2 Series M Performance will also get features like dual-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, rear camera, wireless charging, a head-up display, LED lighting, a panoramic glass sunroof, frameless doors & rearview mirror, an air filter, and more. More details are expected as we get closer to launch.

Under the hood, the BMW 2 Series M Performance is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates a maximum power output of 179hp and 280Nm. This engine can be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The BMW 2 Series M Performance can go from 0-100kmph in 7.1 seconds.

Conclusion

Prices for the new BMW 2 Series M Performance will be revealed upon launch. It is expected that the coupe will cost between Rs 45-47 lakh. Customers can book their model from the BMW Online Shop. Deliveries will be rolled out on a first-come-first-serve basis. Upon launch, the 2 Series M Performance will rival the Mercedes Benz A-class Limousine.
