Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: What’s on offer?

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan is a landmark product for the motorbike manufacturer. Royal Enfield has designed a completely new platform for the motorbike, which will also feature in its future offerings. This is a new twin-spar frame from RE. Talking about the suspension, the 2024 Himalayan gets a 43mm USD fork at the front and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock unit at the rear. It clears the ground at 230mm with a seat height of 825mm.

Powering the new Royal Enfield Himalayan is a 452cc single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power output of 40hp and 40Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-assist clutch. It is 10kg lighter than the engine on the Himalayan 411. Royal Enfield calls this engine the Sherpa 450. Royal Enfield has retained the wheel size (21-inch for the front and 17-inch for the rear) but it gets a new design on the Himalayan 450. The front wheel gets a 320mm disc while the rear wheel gets a 270mm unit. Dual-channel ABS is offered as a standard feature across all variants of the motorbike.

Talking about the features, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 gets a fully digital centre console. This console has been designed by Royal Enfield. It gets Google Maps support for turn-by-turn navigation. Other features like Bluetooth connectivity, call and text notifications, adjustable seating, and LED lighting are also present on the motorbike.
