Hyundai Alcazar facelift: What’s inside the SUV
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift shares its dashboard layout with its Hyundai cousin, Creta. The SUV gets a twin-screen setup comprising two 10.25-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The Alcazar will flaunt a different interior colour theme. It will get a Noble Brown and Haze Navy colour scheme for its cabin.
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift will have a three-row seating layout. The two captain seats in the front row receive a new pattern. The two seats in the middle row now come with larger headrests. These headrests have foldable sides to increase passenger comfort. The centre console in the middle of these two seats has been removed to allow access to the third row. The SUV feels more spacious as a result. The 7-seater variants of the SUV still rely on the seat tumble mechanism to access the third row.
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift will retain the powertrain of the outgoing model. The SUV is offered in two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former produces a maximum power output of 160hp and 253Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine on the Alcazar puts out 113hp and 250Nm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.
Commenting on the new Hyundai Alcazar design, Mr Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “The bold new Hyundai ALCAZAR has been meticulously crafted offering robust design and comfort.
