Tesla: Now operating in Delhi
Tesla’s Delhi showroom is offering test drives for the Model Y. Interested buyers can request a test drive between 10:30 am and 7:30 pm. The retail store is open on all days of the week. Tesla’s Delhi outlet will be pivotal in reaching customers not just in the capital, but the NCR region as well. In a bid to boost sales this quarter, the automaker is offering a free wall connector with every Model Y purchase.
The Tesla Model Y comes in 2 variants: Standard Range (Rs 59.89 lakh) and Long Range (Rs 67.89 lakh). The SUV flaunts a clean and minimal design. The biggest highlight of the front fascia is the thin LED light bar running across the face. The LED headlamps are housed on the bumper and surrounded by air vents. The profile of the SUV features flush-sitting door handles, 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, and a sloping roofline. At the back, the LED tail lamps follow the design of the DRLs at the front.
Inside, the Tesla Model Y flaunts a large 15.4-inch front central touchscreen and an 8-inch rear touchscreen. The driver and passenger seats are powered, heated, and ventilated. Other features include ambient lighting, 8 exterior cameras, a panoramic glass roof, heated steering and windshield, connected car tech, powered rear AC vents, and more. Tesla’s signature autonomous driving feature, Autopilot, demands a premium of Rs 6 lakh.
The Standard variant of the Tesla Model Y is equipped with a 63kWh battery pack. It offers a driving range of 500km. Meanwhile, the Long Range variant has an 83kWh battery pack and a 622km driving range. The single electric motor powering the SUV produces a maximum power output of 299hp on the Standard variant and 340hp in the LR variant. The top speed is capped at 201km/h.
