Volkswagen Tiguan, Taigun, and Virtus get discounts of up to Rs 4.20 lakh

Volkswagen India has announced massive year-end discounts across its catalogue in India – Tiguan, Taigun, and Virtus. Volkswagen Tiguan bags the biggest discount package, worth up to Rs 4.20 lakh. These discounts are available on the unsold MY2023 units of the three cars. These discounts are valid till the end of December.

Volkswagen Tiguan

Maximum Discount: Rs 4.20 lakh

The Volkswagen Tiguan SUV gets a gets a cash offer worth Rs 75,000. The automaker is also offering exchange benefits of up to Rs 75,000 and corporate bonuses worth up to Rs 1 lakh for its flagship SUV in the country. On top of that, certain Volkswagen dealerships are also offering a 4-year Service Value Package priced at Rs 86,000 for free along with special benefits of up to Rs 84,000. This takes the value of the discount package up to Rs 4.20 lakh.

Prices for the Volkswagen Tiguan were hiked back in May when the automaker upgraded its engine to conform with the BS6 Phase II guidelines. The SUV is currently priced at Rs 35.17 lakh. It is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that generates a maximum power output of 190hp and 320Nm of torque.

Volkswagen Taigun

Maximum Discount: Rs 1.46 lakh

Volkswagen’s midsize SUV offering, Taigun, gets a discount package worth Rs 1.46 lakh. This includes a cash offer of Rs 40,000, exchange benefits of up to Rs 40,000, and corporate bonuses worth up to Rs 30,000. On top of that, it also gets Rs 36,000 off in special benefits. It should be noted that the maximum cash discount of Rs 40,000 is only available for the Topline AT variant.

Prices for the Taigun start at Rs 11.62 lakh and go up to Rs 19.76 lakh. The midsize SUV gets 2 powertrain options. The 1.5-litre TSI engine produces a maximum power of 150hp and 250Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre TSI engine produces a maximum power of 115hp and 178Nm of torque.

Volkswagen Virtus

Maximum Discount: Rs 1.17 lakh

Volkswagen’s only sedan offering in India, Virtus, gets a total discount package of Rs 1.17 lakh. The automaker is offering cash offers worth Rs 50,000, exchange benefits worth up to Rs 20,000, and Rs 17,000 in corporate bonuses. On top of that, the sedan gets Rs 30,000 off in special benefits.

The 1.0-litre TSI Dynamic Line trim of the Virtus produces a maximum power of 113hp and 175Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre TSI Performance Line trim produces 148hp and 250Nm torque.

As mentioned earlier, these discounts are only available on the unsold MY2023 units of Volkswagen Tiguan, Taigun, and Virtus for the month of December. The value of the discount package may vary among dealerships and is subject to the availability of stock.
