Renault Triber facelift to launch on July 23

The facelifted model of the Renault Triber MPV will launch in India on July 23. This is the first time that the MPV will receive a facelift since its launch in 2019. The new Triber has been spotted testing on Indian roads on numerous occasions. The first spy shots surfaced in March, followed by multiple sightings in June. The Triber facelift will get notable cosmetic and feature upgrades. However, it will continue with the same powertrain as the current model.

Renault Triber facelift: What to expect?

The Renault Triber facelift will receive a design overhaul. The test mules that have been spotted so far were completely camouflaged, but they point towards a fresh look for the LED DRLs and headlamps. The DRLs will be integrated into the upper section of the headlamps. The bumper will house a larger air intake unit. The position of the fog lamp cutouts will be changed as well. The grille will sport a new look. The LED tail lamps will follow the design language of the DRLs. The alloy wheels will get a new design, but the rest of the profile will remain unchanged.

The spy shots surfaced so far have not revealed the interior of the MPV. We expect the dashboard and centre console to get a design upgrade. Renault may also add a new interior colour theme. The facelifted model could feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This will likely be accompanied by a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Features like automatic climate control, global smart key, remote engine start, and rear AC vents are also expected to make the cut.

Things will remain the same under the hood as the Renault Triber MPV will continue with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine. On the current model, this engine produces a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Final Thoughts

The current Renault Triber lineup is priced between Rs 6.15 lakh and Rs 8.98 lakh. The facelift will certainly cost a premium over this price. We expect its prices to start at Rs 6.50 lakh. It will rival Maruti Suzuki ErtigaToyota Rumion, and Kia Carens upon launch.
