Nissan Magnite: Geza Edition for the turbo petrol engine

According to Nissan, the Geza Edition is inspired by Japanese theatre and its expressive music themes. The key changes on this special edition include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a JBL speaker system, ambient lighting, a trajectory rear camera, a shark fin antenna, and beige-coloured upholstery. The ambient lighting in the SUV can be controlled via a smartphone app. There are no cosmetic changes on the Nissan Magnite Geza Edition apart from the exclusive ‘Geza’ badging.

The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine on the Nissan Magnite produces a maximum power output of 100hp and 152Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with a CVT or 5-speed manual transmission. However, the Geza Edition is only available with the CVT option. With a manual transmission, the peak torque output gets pushed to 160Nm.

The Geza Edition of Nissan Magnite is also available with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Geza Edition for this powertrain of the Magnite has been available since May 2023.

Conclusion

Nissan Magnite is the only offering from the automaker in India. Prices for the SUV start at Rs 6 lakh and go up to Rs 11.11 lakh. It is also available in a special ‘Kuro’ Edition. The Magnite rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Punch, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. While the Magnite may be the only Nissan offering in India for now, that is soon about to change. The automaker will launch the X-Trail SUV in India this August. The X-Trail will be brought to the country as a CBU import and will be sold in limited numbers.
