Nissan Magnite facelift launched at an introductory price of Rs 5.99 lakh

Nissan India has launched the facelifted version of the Magnite compact SUV at an introductory price of Rs 5.99 lakh. This introductory offer applies to the first 10,000 bookings. Once the offer has expired, Nissan will hike the prices for the SUV. Nissan Magnite was the automaker’s only offering in India until the launch of the X-Trail SUV in August. It will be manufactured at the Alliance plant in Chennai and exported to over 65 foreign markets.

The Nissan Magnite facelift retains the iconic look of the SUV but makes key changes to some design elements. The grille is now wider and contains chrome and gloss-black highlights. The sleek LED headlamps flank the grille on either side. These headlamps are integrated with lightsaber-style turn indicators. The LED DRLs are housed on the bumper of the SUV.

The SUV retains its silhouette and its profile is largely unchanged from the outgoing model. The Magnite facelift now rests on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the back, the Nissan Magnite features LED tail lamps with a 3D gradient ‘Honeycomb’ pattern.

Inside, the Nissan Magnite facelift gets a black and copper dual-tone colour theme for the cabin, dashboard, and upholstery. The all-black steering is integrated with control functions. The dashboard and door pads receive 4-way ambient lighting. The ‘Honeycomb’ quilting pattern can be found on the upholstery. The SUV has a 540L boot space.

In terms of features, the Nissan Magnite facelift gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 3D sound by Arkamys, cruise control, a global smart key with remote engine start, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and more. Buyers can also opt for a unique tech pack with features like a dashcam, wireless charger, premium speakers (JBL powered by Harman), puddle lamps and LED scuff plates.

There are no mechanical upgrades on the new Nissan Magnite facelift. It is available in two engine options. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. This engine can be linked to a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 100hp and 160Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox.
