Mahindra XUV 3XO now demands a waiting period of up to 1 year

Mahindra XUV 3XO, the successor to the XUV300, now demands a waiting period of up to 1 year for certain variants. The compact SUV was launched in April 2024 and garnered 50,000 bookings within 30 minutes of launch. The automaker delivered 2,500 units of the SUV in the first three days of its rollout. Back in September, the entry-level MX1 variant of the 3XO had a waiting period of 6 months. Now, buyers face a waiting period of up to 1 year for the same variant.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Waiting period breakdown

Here is a breakdown of the waiting period for all variants of the Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Apart from the entry-level trims, the MX2/Pro, MX3/Pro, and AX5 petrol variants have also seen a rise in their waiting periods. Meanwhile, the waiting period for all the diesel variants has not changed from 1 month.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO comes in three engine options – 1.2-litre 3-cylinder direct-injection turbo petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mStallion direct-injection turbo-petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 131hp and 230Nm torque. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol puts out 110hp. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates a power output of 117hp. These engines can be mated to manual and AMT gearboxes.

In terms of features, the Mahindra XUV 3XO gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, another 10.25-inch screen for the digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a 7-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system, wireless charging, and more. One of the biggest highlights of the XUV 3XO is the Level 2 ADAS package. The SUV’s dashboard and cabin layout is similar to the XUV400.

Conclusion

Prices for the Mahindra XUV 3XO start at Rs 7.79 lakh and go up to Rs 15.49 lakh. There are seven colour options on offer – Dune Dust, Citrine Yellow, Deep Forest, Nebula Blue, Everest White, and Stealth Black. Currently, Mahindra sells an average of 8,500 units of the 3XO per month. The SUV rivals the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue facelift, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Nissan Magnite.
