Force Gurkha is now dearer by Rs 35,000 in India. The lifestyle SUV comes in 3-door and 5-door avatars. Prices for the former model have been hiked by Rs 35,552, while the latter gets a raise of Rs 35,646. Both variants share the same powertrain and features. The automaker has not specified a reason for the price hike.

The 3-door Gurkha stands at dimensions of 3,965mm x 1,865mm x 2,080mm and has a 2,400mm wheelbase. Its 5-door sibling has dimensions of 4,390mm x 1,865mm x 2,296mm along with a 2,825mm wheelbase. Both variants clear the ground at 233mm. Apart from the 2 rear doors on the 5-door variant, there are no cosmetic differences between the two models. The front fascia of the lifestyle SUV flaunts circular LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and a two-slat grille. Along the sides, it rests on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The LED tail lamps have a vertical layout.
Inside, the Gurkha rocks a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Other features include a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, a rear camera, captain seats, rear AC vents, and more. The 3-door variant has a 500-litre luggage space. On the safety front, the lifestyle SUV gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System integrated into the digital instrument cluster, a crash-compliant full metal body, cornering lights, and ‘follow me home’ lights. The TPMS shows the pressure of the railgate-mounted spare tyre as well.
Both variants of the Force Gurkha are powered by a Mercedes-sourced 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. It generates a maximum power output of 140hp and 320Nm torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This gearbox channels the power to all four wheels.
