There are four variants of the Toyota Innova Crysta currently on offer – G, GX, VX, and ZX. The GX and VX variants face the highest demand in India and both have a waiting period of 9 months. Toyota recently announced a third manufacturing plant in India, which would help them meet the increasing buyer demand in the future.
The re-introduction of the Innova Crysta to the Indian market saw the return of the diesel engine, this time compliant with the BS6 Stage 2 norms. This 2.4-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 148hp and 343Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no option for an automatic transmission.
Apart from the new compliant engine, the 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta also gets a new bumper design up front. The fog lamp housing has been changed as well. The grille is now smaller. There are no changes at the back and along the sides of the MPV.
In terms of features, the Toyota Innova Crysta gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, a powered driver seat, picnic tables for the middle row, climate control, and more. Safety features include seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, Vehicle Stability Control, ABS with EBD, Hill-Start Assist, Brake Assist, and more. The automaker has made three-point seatbelts for all passengers a standard feature across all variants of the MPV. Buyers can book their Innova in 7 and 8-seater configurations.
