The facelift version of Tata Punch is expected to hit the Indian market sooner than expected. Earlier, it was believed that the facelift was chalked to launch in 2025. Tata Motors has ramped up the process to make the launch possible in 2024. The current-gen Tata Punch was launched in India back in October 2021. An earlier release date means that the Punch facelift will comply with the 3-year midcycle refresh rule.

Tata Punch facelift: What to expect?
Tata introduced the all-electric version of the Punch earlier this year. The Punch EV featured a new design which was in line with other Tata SUVs and EVs. The ICE version of the Tata Punch will have a similar design, minus the EV-exclusive tweaks. The automaker follows a similar design strategy for all of its ICE cars and their EV siblings. Expect the facelift to come with sleek LED DRLs and new LED headlamps. The bumper design will undergo a few changes as well.

Inside, the Tata Punch ICE facelift will be identical to its EV counterpart. It will get a 10.25-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system and another 10.25-inch display for the digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The two-spoke steering wheel will have an illuminated Tata logo at the centre. Other features will include automatic headlamps, wireless charging, auto-dimming IVRM, leatherette seating, an electric sunroof, an air purifier with an AQI display, and more.

Things will remain the same under the hood as the Tata Punch facelift will be powered by the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder engine petrol engine as the outgoing version. This engine produces a maximum power output of 85hp and 113Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or 5-speed AMT. In a CNG configuration, the SUV produces 77hp and 97Nm. The Punch CNG is only available in manual transmission.
