Tata Nexon EV facelift: What’s new?

The ICE and electric versions of Tata Nexon share the same design. The electric SUV gets some exclusive blue highlights along with EV badging. The exterior design looks inspired by the Tata Curvv concept. The LED light band spanning the nose of the EV has been taken from the Curvv. This light band shows the battery level of the EV while it is charging. The newer design is more aerodynamic, as claimed by the automaker. At the back, the newly designed tail lamps are connected by a light bar.

Inside, the new Tata Nexon EV gets a two-spoke design for the steering wheel. This design has also been lifted from the Curvv concept. The dashboard is finished with different materials and textures, giving it a layered feel. The touchscreen infotainment system has been upgraded to a 12.3-inch unit with a new UI. It also gets a new 10.25-inch digital cluster, air purifier, wireless charging, single-pane sunroof and more. The Arcade.ev app interface now lets users access major OTT platforms on the infotainment screen.

The MR variant of the Tata Nexon EV gets a 30kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 325km. Meanwhile, the 40.5kWh battery unit on the LR variant has a driving range of 465km. Both battery packs deliver 12km more range than their outgoing counterparts. Using the 7.2kW AC charger, the MR variant be fully charged in 4.3 hours while the Nexon LR takes 6 hours to fully charge up. A DC fast charger can juice up both variants in just under an hour.
