Tata Altroz and Punch iCNG: What’s on offer

There are no cosmetic changes on Tata Altroz CNG except for the ‘iCNG’ branding on the tailgate. What gives Altroz the edge over the CNG offerings from other automakers is the dual-cylinder in its boot compartment. These dual cylinders have a fuel capacity of 30 litres and are placed in the spare wheel section under the boot floor. This has freed up a lot of boot space, which is something that is missing in other CNG cars. The CNG hatchback has a boot space capacity of 210 litres. In comparison, the petrol-powered Altroz comes with a 345-litre boot.

Inside, the Tata Altroz CNG gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a voice-controlled electric sunroof, leatherette seats, cruise control, automatic headlamps and more. The CNG model has a gas leak detection feature and a micro switch to ensure the car is switched off while it is being refuelled. The hatchback is offered in four colour options – Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Grey, and Avenue White.
