Special Editions for Honda City and Amaze launched in India

Honda Cars India Ltd. has launched two new festive special editions for Honda City and Amaze in India. Prices for the Honda City Elegant Edition and Honda Amaze Elite Edition begin at Rs 12.57 lakh and Rs 9.04 lakh respectively. Both special editions are available in manual and CVT transmissions. Honda has also announced special festive offers for the two sedans.

Honda City Elegant & Amaze Elite: What’s on offer?

Honda City Elegant Edition is based on the V trim of the sedan. The manual transmission variant is priced at Rs 12,57,400 while the CVT variant costs Rs 13,82,400. Honda Amaze Elite Edition is based on the VX trim of the vehicle. Honda has priced the manual transmission variant at Rs 9,03,900 and the CVT variant at Rs 9,85,900.

Honda City Elegant Edition gets a trunk spoiler with LED, wireless charging, front fender garnish, Elegant Edition seat cover, sleek step illumination, Elegant Edition badging, and a legroom lamp. The Amaze Elite Edition also gets an LED trunk spoiler along with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, front fender garnish, comfortable front armrest, anti-fog film on OVRM, tyre inflator, and Elite Edition seat cover, step illumination, and badging.

Things remain the same under the hood, as the Honda City Elegant Edition retains the 1.5-litre petrol engine from the regular lineup. This engine produces a maximum power output of 126hp. Meanwhile, the Honda Amaze Elite edition also retains the 1.2-litre petrol engine. This unit churns out a maximum power output of 90hp and 110Nm of torque.

Speaking on the introduction of the festive editions, Mr Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd said, “As we gear up for the festive season, our focus has been to enrich our models with a distinct premium package which will appeal to our discerning buyers. The new editions of City and Amaze aim to offer enhanced styling and convenience with added features at an attractive price.” “Festivals give us a reason to celebrate and always have a special place in our lives. In addition to the launch of these new limited editions, we have also rolled out exciting offers and promotions on other variants of City and Amaze to make the new car purchase more rewarding for all our customers,” he added.

Conclusion

The two festive editions can be purchased from Honda’s online sales platform or its authorised dealerships across the country. Honda City rivals the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Meanwhile, the Amaze rivals the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
