Range Rover Velar launched in India at Rs 93 lakh

The new Range Rover Velar has been launched in India at the price of Rs 93 lakh. The SUV gets two powertrains options. Both variants are priced at Rs 93 lakh. This is Rs 3.59 lakh more than the outgoing model. Bookings for the Range Rover Velar are currently open, with deliveries scheduled to roll out in September.

Range Rover Velar: Everything you need to know

The new facelifted model of the Range Rover Velar gets a few changes to its front fascia. The SUV gets sleeker headlights with pixel LED highlights. The design for the LED DRLs has been slightly changed as well. The grille design and front bumper receive slight changes as well. While not too much has been changed along the sides, the taillight and rear bumper designs have been tweaked.

Inside, the Range Rover Velar facelift gets two screens instead of three. The SUV gets an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment that runs the automaker’s Pivi Pro System and comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The climate control switches and terrain response system can now be accessed from the infotainment display. The SUV also gets a 12.3-inch driver’s display, wireless charging, massaging front seats, an air purifier, active road noise cancellation, and more.

The Range Rover Velar facelift is available in two powertrain options. The 2.0-litre petrol engine can produce a maximum power output of 250hp and 365Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre diesel engine puts out 204hp and 430Nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Conclusion

Bookings for the Range Rover Velar have been open since last week. The automaker will start delivering the SUV in September. In India, Range Rover Velar rivals Jaguar F-Pace and Porsche Macan.
