MG Motor India has hiked the prices for the Hector and Hector Plus SUVs by up to Rs 30,000. The petrol and diesel variants of MG Hector have received a price hike between the Rs 16,000 – Rs 22,000 range. Meanwhile, prices for the Hector Plus SUV have been bumped between Rs 20,000 – Rs 30,000.

MG Hector and Hector Plus are offered in two powertrain options – the 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 2.0-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine can generate a maximum power of 143hp with a torque of 250Nm, while the diesel engine can churn out 170hp with a torque of 350Nm. Both engines are mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the non-hybrid petrol version also gets the option of a CVT automatic.
MG Hector is equipped with a 14.0-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets new connectivity features like Digital Bluetooth Key and Key Sharing. The next-gen i-SMART tech equips the Hector with 75 connectivity features along with additional voice commands. The SUV is available in 5, 6, and 7-seater configurations.

Conclusion
Last month, MG Motor launched a special edition model for the Hector as a part of its 100th anniversary celebrations. The SUV also got the Blackstorm Edition back in April. Recently, the Gloster received Desertstorm and Snowstorm editions. In India, the MG Hector rivals the likes of the Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass, and Hyundai Creta.
