Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices for the Baleno hatchback. Maruti Suzuki Baleno is available in 4 trim levels – Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Prices for Maruti’s premium hatchback now start at Rs 6.70 lakh. The automaker has also hiked the prices for Celerio after adding 6 airbags to the hatchback as a standard feature.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Price hike explained
The Delta AGS, Zeta AGS, and Alpha AGS variants of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno are now dearer by Rs 9,000. Prices for the remaining variants have been hiked by Rs 4,000. Meanwhile, the Celerio has received price hikes in the range of Rs 16,000 – Rs 32,5000.
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 88hp and 113Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The manual variants offer a mileage of 22.35kmpl while the AMT variants return 22.94kmpl. In a CNG configuration, the hatchback offers a mileage of 30.61km/kg. The CNG powertrain is available on the Delta and Zeta variants. It does not come with an AMT gearbox.
Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno features a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Heads Up Display, and a 360-degree camera. On the safety front, the hatchback gets 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Hill-Hold Assist and more.
Last year, Maruti added a ‘Regal Edition’ to the Baleno’s lineup. The Regal Edition rocks cosmetic updates like front & rear underbody spoilers, mud flap, body side moulding, grille upper garnish (chrome), rear garnish, back door garnish, and more.
