The new Tata Safari and Harrier models get a revamped design, inside and out. The front fascia of the two SUVs is highlighted by split LED headlamps and an LED light strip running across the grille. At the rear, the redesigned tail lamps have been connected by an LED light bar as well. The Safari, being the more premium SUV, gets a more prominent grille and edgier headlamp design.
The interior of the two SUVs is largely the same, apart from the texture and finish on the dashboard. Buyers get two size options for the touchscreen infotainment system – 10.25-inch and 12.3-inch. On top of that, the SUVs get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as well. Other features include a 10-speaker JBL sound system, paddle shifters, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS package.
Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts retain the mechanical configuration of their respective outgoing models. The SUVs are powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power output of 170hp and 350Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a manual or automatic transmission. The facelifts also get 3 terrain modes (Normal, Rough, Wet) and 3 driving modes (Eco, City, Sport).
