Simple Dot One: Here are all the important specs

The Simple Dot One mimics the design of the flagship Simple One. Both scooters get similar LED headlamps and body graphics. The e-scooter is compact, sleek, and an effective commuter. It is available in six colour options – Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, Grace White, Brazen X, and Light X. The last two are dual-tone colour schemes.

Real differences arise in the battery specs of the two scooters. The Simple Dot One gets a smaller 3.7 kWh battery pack. It delivers a driving range of 151 km. Meanwhile, the 5 kWh battery pack on the flagship scooter offers a driving range of 212 km. Both scooters come with a 750W. The electric motor powering the Simple Dot One can produce a maximum power output of 8.5kW (11.3hp) and 72Nm of torque. It can go from 0-40kmph in 2.77 seconds. The top speed for the scooter has been capped at 105kmph. These figures are identical to the flagship scooter.

In terms of features, the Simple Dot One gets a touchscreen instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, CBS, disc brakes, tubeless tyres, and app support. The scooter also has integrated Google Maps support. The companion app unlocks features like remote access, simple tag, ride statistics, remote alerts, map forwarding, and more. Interestingly, the Simple Dot One offers a larger under-seat storage than its flagship counterpart. The former has a storage capacity of 35 litres while the latter only offers 30 litres of space under its seat.

Conclusion

The two scooters are separated by a price difference of Rs 18,000. The only major differentiating factor between them is the battery capacity. The delivery rollout for the Simple Dot One will commence next month in a phased manner. Bengaluru customers will receive the first batch of deliveries. The Dot One rivals Ola and Ather’s affordable e-scooters in S1 X and 450S.
