The spy images that were revealed indicate Maruti YFG SUV’s resemblance with the Toyota Corolla Cross. From its front, its split headlight design with LED DRLs and daytime running lamps share similarities with the international Suzuki A-Cross. Its front grille appears to look similar to the new-age Baleno and Maruti Ertiga facelift. Other features visible from its spy shots include an aggressive bumper, sleek ORVMs, squared-off wheel arches, multi-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels, integrated blinkers and a sloping roofline.Â
Although the Maruti Suzuki YFG interiors are yet to be revealed, it is expected to be similar to the international Toyota Corolla Cross. It may feature a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument console, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Suzuki Connect connected car tech and more. On the safety front, the mid-sized SUV might come equipped with a range of ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind-spot monitoring, collision warning system along with six airbags.Â

Speaking of the mechanical Maruti YFG specs, it will be based on Toyota’s low-cost DNGA architecture which also underpins the new Toyota Avanza. It will be powered by a ‘strong-hybrid’ petrol engine sourced from Toyota that will be paired to a small battery. This will enable it to run solely on the electric battery for covering short distances, making it the only model in its segment to provide a truly hybrid technology.Â
The Maruti Suzuki YFG price in India is expected to be within the range of Rs 11 to 16 lakhs.
