Maruti Suzuki S Presso: Engine update, new features, and more

S Presso’s engine update comes as a part of Maruti Suzuki’s plan to revamp engines across the line. With the next-gen Alto debuting next month, all of Maruti’s offerings in the Arena line-up will have received engines equipped with DualJet technology and Dual Variable Valve Timing. This engine update offers better fuel efficiency and lowers the emission rate.

The K10C engine produces a maximum power of 67hp and 89Nm torque. This engine will come paired with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. This new engine is also equipped with the start-stop tech and features variable valve timing to deliver greater fuel efficiency. While the older K10B offered a fuel economy of 21.7kmpl, the new K10C offers 25.3kmpl on the AMT variant and 24.76kmpl on the manual version. A detailed list of the difference in fuel economy can be found below.
