New EVs including Mahindra XUV 900 teased! A new Beast in town?

Mahindra has dropped a bombshell by teasing the new XUV 900. It is going to be the first-ever SUV coupe manufactured by Mahindra.

In  2016, Mahindra has already flaunted the XUV Aero concept. It had fair similarities with XUV 500. Interestingly, Mahindra was not sure about launching vehicles with this concept. But by teasing XUV 900 they have already taken a step forward and have already embraced the idea to release its first-ever SUV coupe. According to reports, it is going to be the replacement of Alturas G4, which was discontinued from April 2021. XUV 900 might rival Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. It will have a 6-speed gearbox

What are the specifications of Mahindra XUV 900?

Mahindra has not yet released its specifications. But it might be better than XUV 700, which has a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo-diesel engine. The interiors might also be different to give it a more premium feel. According to the teaser, the headlights of Mahindra XUV 900 appeared somewhat similar to XUV 700, which suggests that aesthetically there won’t be much difference but the form factor and its sporty design might be inspired by Aero Concept. We might see various new security features and multi-driver mode can also be introduced. The EV variant might be one of the best EV’s that we have seen yet.
