Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.2L variant updated with a sunroof, priced at Rs 9.76 lakh

Kia has added a sunroof to the Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.2L petrol-manual variant. This variant is currently priced at Rs 9.76 lakh, making it the most affordable Sonet variant to come with a sunroof. It is also the first 1.2L petrol variant to get the sunroof feature. This makes the sunroof feature more affordable for Sonet buyers.

Kia Sonet: Here’s what you get

The Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.2L petrol variant makes the sunroof affordable by Rs 73,000. Earlier, the sunroof was available with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol powertrain. Other than the inclusion of the sunroof, no changes have been made to the HTK+ 1.2L variant.

The Kia Sonet HTK+ variant retains features like the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, wireless connectivity, automatic AC, a four-speaker system with two tweeters, four airbags, and a rear camera.

Kia Sonet is available in three powertrain options: a 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine on the HTK+ variant produces a maximum power output of 83hp. The turbo petrol engine puts out 120hp. The 1.0L variant is only available with a 5-speed gearbox while the turbo petrol engine gets the option of a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Back in May, Kia launched the Aurochs Edition for the Sonet at a starting price of Rs 11.85 lakh. The Aurochs Edition of the Sonet is based on the HTX trims and comes in turbo petrol and diesel powertrain options. It gets tangerine highlights on different components like door sills, front bumper, grille, wheel caps, and rear skid plate. The special edition ‘Aurochs’ branding can be found on the front grille.
