Kia Seltos facelift opened for bookings at a token amount of Rs 25,000

After being unveiled earlier this month, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift can now be booked for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Launched globally last year, the new Kia Seltos gets fresh changes across the board. The automaker has also added another powertrain option to the Seltos lineup after discontinuing the 1.4L turbo petrol engine. Kia Seltos is one of the most popular midsize SUVs in the Indian market.

2023 Kia Seltos facelift: What’s on offer?

The India-spec version of the Seltos facelift gets a few changes over the international version. Up front, the SUV gets a larger reworked bumper, extra body cladding, and new body-coloured inserts in the fog lamp housing. The design for LED headlamps and DRLs has also been tweaked, with the latter integrated into the grille. The are no changes along the sides apart from the dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the new Seltos gets downward-facing tail lamps connected by a light bar.

Inside, the Kia Seltos facelift gets a 10.25-inch twin-screen infotainment system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support and a digital driver display. The AC vents are now sleeker and the HVAC media controls panel gets a slight redesign as well. The X Line and GT Line variants get new interior colour options as well. The facelift model of the SUV will come equipped with an ADAS package that consists of 17 safety features.

The Kia Seltos facelift will retain the 1.5L petrol and 1.5L turbo-diesel engine options. The 1.4L turbo-petrol has been discontinued due to its failure to meet the new BS6 Phase II norms. The 1.5-litre petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 144Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine puts out 116hp and 250Nm. The petrol can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The diesel engine gets the option of a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

As mentioned earlier, the new Kia Seltos facelift can be booked for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Current Seltos owners can cut down the waiting period by generating a special ‘K-Code’ from Kia’s official website or the MyKia app. Prices for the Seltos facelift will be revealed upon its launch. The SUV will rival Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder.
